Five Steps to Make Dalgona Coffee



Due COVID-19 outbreak, many of us are at home, trying to make the best of our one (1) month community quarantine. Since majority of us have (now) time to spend in kitchen, different recipes are now being shared on social media, one of those and currently the netizen's favorite is the Dalgona or Forthy Coffee.




Dalgona Coffee or beaten coffee originate in Pakistan, Macau and India. Last, January the former got popular when it appeared on a Korean TV Show called Pyunstorang. On the said show, one of the characters went to Macau, tried their beaten coffee and called it Dalgona, which in Korea is a traditional sponge candy.


Preparing Dalgona Coffee is easy. You just need five (5) ingredients and follow five (5) steps.


How to Make DALGONA or FROTHY COFFEE

INGREDIENTS ( Good for 2)



6 sachet or 2 tablespoon of Instant Coffee (Nescafe Classic Coffee)

2 250 ml Fresh Milk

2 tablespoon Sugar

2 tablespoon hot Water

Ice

*FOR KETO instead of Fresh Milk, use Almond Milk and sugar to Stevia or Equal Gold.


DIRECTION

1. Combine sugar, coffee and hot water in a mixing bowl.


2. Beat the three ingredients using a either mixer (stand or hand) or latte frother until it change to fluffy golden-brown froth with a soft peak.

Mix all the dry ingredients and hot water.

Mix until it change to fluffy golden-brown froth with soft peak.

Soft peak looks like this.

3. Put ice and milk on the glass. 1 milk carton per glass.



4. Put the fluffy froth on top of the iced milk.

You may use an ice cream scoop or spoon to put the froth on top of the iced milk.


5. ENJOY YOUR DALGONA COFFEE by either consuming it as it is or stir it throughly to savor a creamier version of cappucino 😊



Dalgona Coffee is best serve with cakes and pastries.
