4 Whistler Summer Activities That We Love The Most

It's been two (2) years since the last time we visited Canada. Canada is known for its beautiful sceneries. Some of these breathtaking sceneries are the Canadian Rockies and Niagra Falls. Canada is also known as one of the best locations to witness the majestic Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis.

One unforgettable trip that I had in Canada is when we went to Whistler.

WHISTLER CANADA

Whistler is a town in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia, north of Vancouver.

Whistler is the home of the largest ski resort in North America. It is famous for winter activities such as skiing and snowboarding, snowshoeing, tobogganing, and ski jumping. Aside from this Whistler, has an Olympic Park, which served as the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics venue.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES

It was summer when we went to Whistler, and as a person who lives in the tropics and loves the summer season, I appreciate and enjoyed the activities that we did there during our trip.

BEAR VIEWING

One activity that I loved during our summer trip in Whistler is bear viewing. Watching Whistler black bears and cubs in their natural habitat and learning about their flora and fauna from experienced guides is a wonderful experience.

We don't have bears in the Philippines that's why I learned a lot and was amazed with this trip.

SIGHTSEEING TOUR

Whenever we travel, it is a must to know the rich culture and heritage of the town or country that we visit, that is why we always sign up for sightseeing tours.

Whistler sightseeing tours are facilitated by local guides that showed us the historical sites and the Olympic venue of Whistler. The tour ended in the shopping districts where we bought "pasalubong" or souvenirs for our family and friends.

ZIP LINING

When we were in Whistler, we were advised to try the longest zipline in Canada called The Sasquatch Zipline, and so we did!

Sasquatch Zipline is a 2,000+ kilometers or 1.2 miles long. This zipline experience will amaze you with the beauty of the Whistler and Blackcomb mountains.

HORSEBACK RIDING

If you want to relax, breathe some fresh air, and enjoy the scenery of the forest, meadow and up to the mountain paths, you should do horseback riding in Whistler.

Among all the activities we did, this is one of my favorite. I love the quiet and beautiful sceneries across Whistler. No wonder there are a lot of people looking into buying properties in this town. My Mom even checked the real estate for sale in Whistler after our horseback riding trip.

Most summer activities that we did in Whistler are those that we don't normally encounter or do in the Philippines. Going there is such a great experience. We fell in love with the scenery and people of Whistler. My Mom even checked for real estate for sale in Whistler!

Aside from winter and summer activities, Whistler also has spring activities that we would also love to experience. Hopefully, after this pandemic, we can travel again and go back to Whistler.
